Our customer came to us at the beginning of the New Zealand lockdown with a problem: they needed 18 stairs supplied & installed as soon as possible after lockdown was finished. Their previous arrangement had not worked as expected and it looked like they weren't going to be able to get the stairs on site for a critical deadline.
When you've just entered a lockdown with just a few days notice and no idea of how long it's going to last, it can be hard to plan and give customers certainty. Like everyone else we were also trying to get ourselves organised with the new 'work from home' set up!
In any case, nothing is considered impossible until you've at least tried to make something work... and that's what we did. With some careful planning and re-scheduling of non-urgent jobs, we were able to make space for the extra 18 stairs in both our factory and installation team.
With lockdown completed and being able to return to construction sites, we had the 18 stairs measured, made and installed by the deadline.
This was a surprise to our customer who thought they'd given us an impossible task and commented, "I wish everyone was as organised as you are!" Which really sums up what we are about and what we can do when you need it done.
