This House of the Year winner for Auckland features a modern American Oak staircase and balustrade.  In an interesting point of difference, a steel rod has been used to reduce the maximum riser gap to 100mm or less.  This creates an eye catching feature!  The Oak has been stained dark to complement other colours throughout the home.
