This incredible curved steel stair was a collaboration between Stylecraft Stairways and renowned jewellers The Village Goldsmith.  Situated in their renovated Wellington store, the stairs feature a gold curved steel stringer, American Ash treads and a curved glass balustrade.  A stairway masterpiece!   Reference:  20958

Classsical and timeless, this stair regally sits in the entranceway of this Napier home. The laminated stringers are in Pine Clears and have a curve to them from the bottom of the stair to the top. American Oak treads and risers have been stained dark and are overlaid with a carpet runner. A stunning curved stairwell.  This was a brand new build done in a classic style.  A traditional curved stairwell with colonial style turned balustrades was the perfect compliment to the traditional detailing throughout the home.  The homeowners dreamed up this design based on a magazine picture they found and it went from there! Colonial style turned balusters and posts are capped by a dark stained American Ash top rail.  The handrail starts at the bottom of the stairs with a custom designed koru shaped moulding and has a goose-neck bend at the top of the stairs.   Reference: 17578

A floating style stair with a difference! This steel stair was born from a picture the client spotted in a magazine and Stylecraft worked with them to refine the concept into something that complied with NZ building standards. The stair treads are supported by two "zig-zag" steel stringers, powder coated in a soft creamy white finish. The treads are recycled NZ Native timber. The gap between each step is reduced to a complying size by a stainless steel wire, which matches the wire rigging balustrade. A modern and interesting design!   Reference: 15849

Black Walnut treads with a natural oiled finish, float up this central steel string. This stair is located in the Lambton Quay Vodafone store. The whole stairwell was designed and installed in very tight time frame. Stylecraft were given a basic design concept by the architects which we then had to design for manufacture and installation. The stair has an off-set steel stringer which has been hidden inside American White Oak clashing. The stair risers are clear glass to keep the stair looking open and light, it also allows light flow through to the display stands beyond. Frameless glass balustrade has been used to compliment the clean lines and crisp colour palette. This stair has a central steel stringer with floating Silver Beech treads. The timber screen beside it is a special feature with each baluster being cut into a unique shape to create a ripple effect.
